Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. The singer combines soul gospel jazz and R&B to create a unique mixture. Avery Sunshine's work has led her all over the world, from Broadway to European concerts and festivals up to the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine Her real name is Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta however, her roots lie located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to pursue a musical career singing and playing the piano in a church. She studied at Spellman College and began to learn the R&B style that is popular in Atlanta. The first track to showcase her vocals was Stalk You the Japanese version of 12 song. It has been re-mixed and is now part of her set. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. The band was hired as the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her to be the choral leader for the stage production. Sunshine became famous in the performances that took place over four days in The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang during the 2009 Obama Inauguration.
